Inclining Experiment Procedure & Report

Class-witnessed inclining experiments to determine as-built lightship weight and KG.

Overview

The inclining experiment is the definitive on-water measurement of a vessel's lightship weight and vertical centre of gravity. We prepare the pre-test procedure, coordinate with Class for witnessing, and execute the experiment with the required weight movements and pendulum readings.

The final report is issued in a Class-ready format and forms the basis for the vessel's approved Stability Booklet.
