Docking Calculations

Block loading and docking plans for safe dry-docking of vessels of any tonnage.

Overview

Safe dry-docking begins with a rigorous block-loading calculation that verifies keel-block, side-block and hauling-cradle loads against dock capacity and vessel structure. We prepare docking calculations that account for lightship weight distribution, waterborne trim, and dock rise/fall.

Every study is accompanied by a docking plan drawing detailing block positions, spacing and clearances, and can be delivered in coordination with the receiving shipyard.
